BPRO makes a difference!

This letter was recently received by Shefali Kumar, president of BPRO and we would like to share it with our readers.

Dear Ms. Kumar,
My husband and I would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to the BPRO and your representative who attended the Committee of Adjustment hearing on April 20, 2006 and supported us in our attempt to have the variances denied at 317 Jedburgh Road. The applicant's requests for variances were denied and I believe that your support made the difference in a very close vote.

Thank you and here is our cheque for membership in the BPRO. Thanks again.

A big thank you to Faskens - they are incorporating BPRO free of cost!  We would like to thank Ian Kyer and Joe Lai for their patience and support. BPRO is now in the process of updating our incorporation from the previous dormant organization.

The Community Information Session on Nov 15 was a huge success.  Inspite of the wet, blustery evening, the session was well attended.  We had a full house and Councilor Jenkins was also present.  Councilor Stintz was represented by Dan Bordonali and MPP Wynn was represented by Robert Coombs. 

We would like to thank all of you who have signed up as members of BPRO.  Membership forms may be requested through this website, by going to the "Become a Member" page.  Please talk to your neighbours about BPRO and encourage them to become members as well.  The more members we have, the stronger BPRO will be for tackling issues.

Bedford Park is in a state of constant change and therefore we need an active Residents Organization which can reflect the opinions of the neighbourhood as well as provide a platform for the community.  Whether you dont like the new construction across the street, or you have a problem with the City, your area residents organization can and will help.
